Helping you feel a great golf swing
Not everyone can make a great golf swing, but everyone can FEEL it
when they swing the AST golf swing trainer. The AST teaches a great
golf swing and makes that swing accessible to every player through feel.
As Steve Nelson the AST inventor often says “If you can do this (hinge
up) you can make a golf swing” (see hinge-up photo below).
The basic positions of the golf swing make the Science very exact but also very
simple. It’s easy. No prior training—or Science classes—necessary. The
AST lets you feel the correct golf swing just by using it. Set up the
AST in front of your living room TV. Put in the AST Instructional DVD
and immediately you are making the right swing.
Address is Impact
To create the correct golf swing start with Address position (see
photo sequence below). The desired result of a great golf swing is to
come back exactly where you began—to Address. Address position is
Impact position. To make sure the clubface is square at Impact, just
like it was before you began your backswing a couple of basic things
need to happen.
Golf made Easy
Anyone can make a good golf swing by letting the Science engineered
into the AST guide them. The AST is designed to let users feel and
repeat the correct golf swing. By consistently using the AST you will
begin to ingrain the CORRECT muscle memory that will allow you repeat
that swing on the golf course. Your swing will become Automatic,
Repeatable and Natural. You will be making your best swing more often.
After all “AST” stands for “Automatic Swing Trainer”. You can make your
shots consistent and automatic by training for a few minutes a day with the Automatic Swing Trainer.
Let’s get started
First, your Spine Angle needs to remain the same throughout the
swing (see photo sequence below). This is accomplished by taking an
athletic position, with feet positioned under the shoulder joints, with
knees bent, like you are sitting on a bar stool. Hinge up the AST and
set it at the top of your backswing—around 9 o’clock. Don’t over-wind
your backswing. Now drop your hands back down to Address position. If
you feel any resistance, that’s the AST telling you there is something
wrong with your backswing, your swing or both. Click through the photos
